Overview
Bionics studies on the aerodynamics of bird flight carried out in collaboration with TU Berlin yielded insights and new ideas on minimizing turbulent drag at the wing tips. The consequent development of these ideas led to a novel shape for propellers, patented worldwide as the Bionic Loop Propeller.
